What is Bite Around The World?
Bite Around The World is a catering business specialising in event + social catering. OUR AIM IS TO SHARE OUR FAVOURITE FLAVOURS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD WITH YOU.
We cater for a huge range of events including brand and corporate events, celebratory events, weddings, Gatherings, public events and festivals. Bite Around The World is based in Hertfordshire but caters across the whole of the Uk.
Originally bite around the world started as a food travel blog on Instagram in September 2017 documenting some European trips in addition to focusing on British Cuisine.
We spent 8 months of 2018 travelling through South East Asia and Australia where we provided insights into cultures through food; on both Instagram and on our blog on this website; providing pictures, reviews, experiences, tips and recommendations.
2019 saw the launch of bite around the world into an official business. Bite Around the world is now not only a food travel blog but food business too, specialising initially in street food at public events. the success of street food naturally lead us to more and more private events, which then continued to lead us onto grazing tables, grazing platters and boxes which have been hugely popular since launching. since launching we have catered for some of the worlds biggest brands including Nike, just eat + google not forgetting public figures such as in the frow, Lydia Millen, Carly Rowena + la voix.
we welcomed 2020 with a month back in south-east Asia which allowed us to revisit our biggest inspiration for starting bite around the world, This inspired us, even more, to continue sharing our favourite flavours of the world.
we are so excited to continue our bite around the world journey and we hope you can all be a part of it.
Who is behind Bite Around The World?
Lauren and Toby; a couple from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK. We decided to quit our jobs in order to see the world. We both share a love for food, travelling AND EVENTS and that is how to Bite Around the World was created.
Toby grew up wanting to have a mobile bar of his own and in 2013 he completed a catering course before travelling he ended up as a carpenter creating bespoke kitchens, so he's always having an interest in kitchens, just now he's on the other side!
Lauren has always had a love for events, studying events management at the University of Greenwich where she graduated in 2015 she then worked in London as a venue corporate event organiser, with lots of hospitality experience which has definitely helped with Bite Around The World.
